میڈیا اور اس کے اثرات
Miss Ayesha is the favorite (popular) teacher of class 9th.
مس عائشہ کلاس نہم کی ایک مقبول استانی ہیں
The students eagerly (keenly) attend her class. طلبہ ان کی کلاس میں شوق سے حاضری دیتے ہیں ۔
Miss Ayesha enters the classroom with her usual (regular) smile, greets (say hello to) the students and takes the roll call.
مس عائشہ حسب معمول اپنی مسکراہٹ کے ساتھ کلاس میں داخل ہوتی ہیں ' طلبہ کو سلام کرتی ہیں اور حاضری لیتی ہیں ۔
It is their tutorial day (group discussion ). یہ ان کے ٹیوٹوریل کا دن ہے ۔
The students are all geared up (ready ) تمام طالب علم تیار ہیں ۔
They know what is about to come and they are prepared for it.
وہ جانتے ہیں کہ کیا ہونے والا ہے اور اس کے لیے تیار ہیں ۔
Yes , shall we start ? , she asks politely. انہوں نے نرمی سے پوچھا' جی تو شروع کریں ؟
Yes the students nod. ( shake head in positive )جی ہاں ' طالبہ نے بھی (ہاں میں ) سر ہلایا ۔
Teacher : ok as we have decided earlier, the topic for today’s discussion is “ Role of Media and its Impact.”
ٹھیک ہے ' تو جیسا کہ ہم پہلے ہی یہ طے کر چکے ہیں کہ ہماری آج کی گفتگو کا موضوع " ذرائع ابلاغ اور ان کا ا اثر " ہو گا ۔
To start with, let me state (tell ) clearly that media is the most powerful mode of communication.
آغاز میں ہی مجھے یہ صاف صاف کہنے دیجیے کہ ابلاغ باہمی اظہار کا طاقت ور ( موثر ) ذریعہ ہے ۔
It shares news and information with the people. یہ لوگوں سے خبریں اور اطلاعات کا تبادلہ کرتا ہے۔
Sometimes media spreads false news, but generally it informs us about the facts around us. بعض اوقات یہ غلط خبریں بھی پھیلاتا ہے ' لیکن عام طور پر ' یہ ہمارے اردگرد کے حقائق سے ہمیں آگاہ کرتا ہے ۔
Do you agree? کیا آپ اتفاق کرتے ہیں ؟
Students : yes , we do. جی ہاں ' ہم اتفاق کرتے ہیں ۔
Student 1 : I would like to add a bit more to it. میں اس میں تھوڑا سا اضافہ کرنا چاہوں گا ۔
Teacher : yes , sure. جی ' ضرور !
Student 1 : Media helps people to share knowledge of the world.
ابلاغ لوگوں کی معاونت کرتا ہے کہ وہ دنیا سے متعلق معلومات کا تبادلہ کریں۔
Their feelings and opinions are expressed through it.
(اور ) اسی کے ذریعے ہی ان کے احساس اور آرا کا اظہار ہوتا ہے۔
Media attracts the attention of a very large audience.
ابلاغ سامعین کی ایک بہت بڑی تعداد کی توجہ حاصل کر لیتا ہے۔
Have you noticed , that the first thing we do soon after entering the house is to switch on the television?
کیا آپ نے (کبھی یہ ) دیکھا ہے کہ گھر میں داخل ہونے کہ فورا بعد ' ہم جو پہلا کام کرتے ہیں ' وہ ٹی وی چلانا ہوتا ہے؟
Teacher : there is no doubt about it. اس میں کوئی شک نہیں ۔
Student 2 : Let me say that media has become a part of our life.
مجھے یہ کہنے دیں کہ ابلاغ ہماری زندگی کا ( ایک اہم ) ایک حصہ بن چکا ہے ۔
It not only informs but also entertains (recreation ) us
یہ نہ صرف ہمیں معلومات دیتا ہے ' بلکہ ہمیں تفریح بھی فراہم کرتا ہے
Teacher : Absolutely right. بالکل صحیح
Well , do you have any idea about the two major means of communication?
اچھا ' کیا ابلاغ کے دو بڑے ذرائع سے متعلق کچھ اندازہ ہے آپ کو ؟
Student 3 : there are two means of communication , electronic media and print media. ابلاغ کے دو بڑے ذرائع ہیں ' الیکڑانک میڈیا اور پرنٹ میڈیا ۔
The media includes film, radio, television, internet, books , magazines and newspapers. ذرائع بلاغ میں ' فلم ' ریڈیو ' ٹیلی ویژن ' انٹرنیٹ ' کتابیں ' رسائل اور اخبارات شامل ہیں ۔
It provides us information as well as entertainment.یہ ہمیں معلومات اور تفریح مہیا کرتا ہے۔
Teacher : Good ! its through media that the world has become a global village.
شاباش ! یہ ابلاغ ہی کی وجہ ہے کہ دنیا آج ایک عالمی گائوں بن چکی ہے ۔
There is coverage of all important events of the world on television.
ٹیلی ویژن پر دنیا کہ تمام اہم واقعات دکھائے جاتے ہیں ۔
We can have an easy access to all kinds of information through media.
ہم ابلاغ کے ذریعے باآسانی ' تمام معلومات تک رسائی حاصل کر سکتے ہیں ۔
Student 4 : Can we say that the world is just a click away ?
کیا ہم کہہہ سکتے ہیں کہ دنیا صرف چٹکی بھر ہے ۔
Teacher : May be, Well, would any other student like to say something on it?
ہاں ہوسکتا ہے ' اچھا تو اس کے متعلق کو ئی اور طالب علم کچھ کہنا چاہتا ہے ؟
(miss Ayesha points to the student sitting at the end )
مس عائشہ آخر میں بیٹھے ہوئے طالبعلم کی طرف ااشارہ کرتی ہے ۔
Student 5 : Madam, in my opinion, media plays a vey constructive role for society. میری رائے میں ' ابلاغ معاشرے میں ایک بڑا تعمیری کردار ادا کرتے ہیں ۔
It raises awareness about many social issues , like corruption , terrorism, drug addiction, and violation of human rights.
یہ بدعنوانی ' دہشت گردی ' منشیات کی لت ' اور انسانی حقوق کی پامالی جیسے معاشرتی معاملات دے متعلق ہماری آگہی ( علم ) میں اضافہ کرتا ہے ۔
Teacher : Yes, you are right . جی ہاں ' آپ صحیح کہتے ہیں ۔
Student 6 : media has also become a mouth piece of downtrodden
ابلاغ ( اب ) مجبور طبقے کی آواز بن چکا ہے ۔
Teacher : Yes, well said.جی ہاں بہت خوب !
It would not be wrong to say that media is the most vigilant institution that keeps an eye on every segment of the society.
یہ کہنا بھی غلط نہیں ہو گا کہ ابلاغ ' سب سے زیادہ چوکس ادارہ ہے ' جو معاشرے کے ہر پہلو پر نظر رکھتا ہے ۔
Through debates, reports and talk shows, it makes everyone answerable and accountable. یہ مباحثوں ' رپورٹوں اور گفتگو کے پروگراموں کے ذریعے ہر ایک کو جوابدہ اور قابل باز پرس بناتا ہے ۔
That is why Media has become an integral part of our lives.
یہی وجہ ہے کہ ابلاغ ہماری زندگی کا ایک لازمی جزو بن چکا ہے ۔
Student 1 : I would conclude the discussion by saying that media can play a positive and has a corrective impact , if it works honestly.
میں یہ کہتے ہوئے گفتگو کو نتیجے پر پہنچائو گا کہ ابلاغ اگر ( اپنا کام ) زمہ داری سے کرے تو یہ ایک مثبت کردار ادا کر سکتا ہے اور اصلاحی اثر ( بھی ) ڈال سکتا ہے ۔
Teacher : Good conclusion.بہت اچھا نتیجہ ہے

جھے خوشی ہوئی ا ہے کہ تم سب نے اس گفتگو میں حصہ لیا ' اور خوبصورت انداز میں اپنے خیالات کا اظہار کیا ۔
( the bell rings, Miss Ayesha says goodbye to the class and leaves. )
گھنٹی بجتی ہے اور مس عائشہ کلاس کو خدا حافظ کہتی اور چلی جاتی ہے ۔
